Hi!
We’re John and Sarah, a husband-and-wife duo who are passionate about family, home renovations, and sharing our life moments with you! Our journey together began back in 2016 at Marshall University, where I, Sarah, was running track, and John was embracing fraternity life. Since then, we have been so grateful to be building the life we have always dreamed of!
In 2020, we took a big leap and purchased our first home in Huntington, marking the beginning of our journey into homeownership and renovations. Shortly after, our family grew with the addition of our golden retriever Remi in 2021, who quickly became the heart of our household. In June 2022, we tied the knot, and this past May, we welcomed our first baby girl into the world. She arrived earlier than expected and spent 138 days in the NICU, a challenging yet transformative chapter of our lives. Today, we’re overjoyed to say she’s home and thriving, bringing endless joy to our family.
John is a general contractor with a passion for all things construction, while I (Sarah) am a PE and health teacher who has developed a deep love for interior design and decor. Together, we’ve poured our hearts into several home renovations and flips around the Huntington area, combining John’s expertise in building with my creative eye for design.
Through J&S Progress, we aim to share our adventures in home improvement, our latest flips, and glimpses into our everyday life as new parents. Whether it’s DIY tips, renovation projects, or stories from our journey as a family of three (plus our Remi Lou), we hope to inspire and connect with you along the way.
